March 17th is St. Patrick's Day. St Patrick is the Patron saint of Ireland. He is one of Christianities most widely known figures. But for all his celebrity, his life remains somewhat a mystery! Many of the stories associated with St Patrick, including the famous account of him banishing snakes from Ireland, are false, the products of hundreds of years exaggerated storytelling.
He is believed to have died on March 17th 460AD.
